~~~~~~~Progesterone Levels?????~~~~~~~
Yesterday I posted that my progesterone level was 9.2. I thought that was a good level and evidently my RE did too, because they encouraged me to take a hpt on Monday. But, I read yesterday that my level was not a good level and I might not have been able to have an embryo implant. So, I was wondering has anyone had a level near mine and conceived????
sorry i don't really know anything about progesterone levels, but i can tell you this...an RE is a specialist in their field and they don't get that way by staying at a holiday inn, so if your RE says it looks good and is optomistic then i would go with that..
good luck i hope you get your bfp
Progesterone levels can fluctuate wildly.  Several measurements, even taken on the same day, can vary a great deal.
If your RE was ok with it, you should be.
Good luck!
I know from first hand experience tht you can concieve (conceive) and have an active pregnancy with a 9. progestrone level.  I goto a high risk OBGYN and when we were trying to concieve (conceive) my OBGYN put me on progestrone suppostiories after O was confirmed and I stayed on them until Pg was not confirmed.   Mayve you could ask your Dr.  about that.  I don't know Shannah I think this is your month.  I just have a really good feeling for you. Good Luck
Keep us posted.
I really missed you guys I am glad that I am back on. I am able toread the posts again and not feel such an overwelming sense of lose.
I am almost relieved to hear that the baby had trisomy 13. at least I can be somewhat confident if I concieve (conceive) again.
Blessings to everyone.  Peace Lynn
Thanks, ladies for the info. I have been really worried about it so I called my RE again today. What I was told was that 9.2 is excellent for the femera and that is what they look at, what med they have you on, for the appropriate levels. They said there is a very good chance that I have conceived, but even if I did not the O and high level indicates I will have AF on my own this month with no provera and that is also something to be excited about. They said I still need to test on Monday. I feel so much better and Christi, that info was great! Keep your fingers crossed. I want this to be it!!! :)
Bailee--this details the variation you can see with progesterone levels.  Even the experts aren't in agreement as to "normals"!
------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring progesterone and its metabolites. Because progesterone is the principal product of the corpus luteum, its measurement is clinically indicated to evaluate luteal phase abnormalities. For this reason, serum, urine, and salivary progesterone determinations are utilized.
Although serum progesterone is widely used in the diagnosis of LPD, there is no agreement in the cutoff level for abnormal assays, the number of assays required for diagnosis, or the timing of the test. A number of studies have demonstrated lower progesterone levels in women with "out-of-phase" endometrial biopsies,24,25 but others have noted normal progesterone levels in the presence of abnormal biopsies.26-28
These contradictory findings may be explained by the episodic release of progesterone in response to the slow pulsing of LH during the luteal phase of the cycle. Consequently, there are wide and frequent fluctuations and diurnal variations in progesterone secretion. This makes the use of a single serum progesterone determination
My progesterone level wasn't much higher, it was  and I am 6 weeks pregnant.  My RE does have me on progesterone suppositories until I get my u/s done next Thurs.  A few months back my progesterone was 49.9 and I didn't conceive so I am a firm believer that the progesterone levels don't matter much!  Good luck to you on Monday!
Hi all,
Im a concrened sister that has watched her younger sis loose 2 sets of twins at 20wks gestation. She has PCOS and fertility problems. She was put on Clomid and got pregnant not to long after. In both pregancies everything was going great until at the 20 mark and she would just start leaking amnio fluid and start contracting. There is a underlying infection that seems to be doing this. Both sets of twins were delivered by her and we had to watch them die in the incubator. They were to young and the lungs were not developed enough for survival. However she is now pregnant again and they did it on their own this time. Her fertility doctor is taking no chances and started her on progesterone injections once every 2 weeks. I'm wandering if anyone has had success with this and of course the not so successful news also. Thanks alot and god bless.
I've had 3 blood tests to determine my progesterone level.  I have been reading on various websites and I can't figure out how the levels are determined.  My first test result were at 53, the second was at 84 and today my third result is at 500.  Everything I have seen or read seems to be in double digits. My doctor says that I should be at or around 1000.  He seems to think that this could be an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy.  I am scheduled for ultra sound next wednesday to determine if it's in my tube.  Any information would be really appreciated.
I've had 3 blood test to determine my progesterone level. My 1st was 53, 2nd was 84 and today's was at 500. I have reading up trying to figure out were I should be for being almost 7 wks pregnant. Everything I have seen or read is in the double digits. Doctor suspects an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy because of my progesterone level. Any information on this would be really appreciated.
My progesterone levels have dropped over a three day period from 28 to 19. My HCG is still rising though, and it is doubling like it is supposed to. Is there any reason for why they would drop? Is my baby in trouble?
Any response would be great.
Thanks!
