Progesterone Side Effects

I was put on progesterone suppositories and baby aspirin yesterday.  The nurse told me to take the progesterone at bedtime to prevent a lot of leaking.  So I did and I woke a few times because I had leaked.  Tonight, I'm going to put a pad on to see if that helps.

Anyway, today I notice that I feel very dry down there.  Is this normal?  My doctor is not in today, so I thought I'd check here to see if that happened to anyone else.

yes it is normal.   I was told vitamin e gel tabs work well to help with this.  I have taken them and everything is good now..  they are not suppositories but are used like one..   my face also broke out really bad..   I'm still on them at 16 weeks have another test tomorrow hopefully will be off of them then

I used progesterone suppositories until 13 weeks and I hated them!  They leaked all day.  My discharge was terrible.  I had to wear a pantyliner all day everyday and change them several times a day.  I was so happy to stop using them.  I can say that with all the spotting I had early on, I never thought I would get to 17 weeks, but I am here so I guess I own it to the suppositories!  Just get used to the leaking because mine never went away.  I had to them morning and night, so if you are only using them at night, maybe yours won't be as bad.  Good luck!
