Progesterone Supps for pregnacy

I am 9 weeks pregnant and was just put on vaginal progesterone suppositories 3X per day. I have suffered 2 prior miscarriages in the past 1 1/2 years. I must go and have labs redone this week. I am terrified though ultrasound and other tests are normal. Any ideas on how long I will have to continue this progesterone therapy? Are there questions I should be asking? I see people posting about their levels and have no idea what mine were (was just told they were low. Any words of wisdom for this worried Mom2Be? Thanks.

I took progesterone (orally) till I was 15 weeks. The doc said I could stop at 13 weeks, but I just finished the prescription. It can't hurt if you don't need it.

the docs told me through 13 weeks.  I have no idea what my levels are,  I asked to be tested last week?   Dr. Paulson, my specialist ran tests 20 years ago that says those suppositories are a great and effecient way to get the progesterone in exact doses your body needs.  Good luck.

I took vaginal progesterone until about 14 weeks. I too suffered a miscarriage and I know that it was from low progesterone. My levels were at 9. Now I am 6 months pregnant and am now feeling my little miracle move around. I will keep you in my prayers.

What were your low progesterone levels that signaled that you needed progesterone?  Are you taking a natural or synthetic progesterone?  What are the names?  I am 41 and now 4 weeks along.  I had a previous loss and am wondering if low progesterone could have been a factor in miscarring.  I was nursing a 1 yr. old at the time.  Have any of you nursed and had low progesterone levels in your miscarriage pregnancies?  Thank you gals for letting me know your experiences.

Thanks everyone for the support! I am going tomorrow for blood tests, so I will ask some more pertinent questions to help me understand more.....I appreciate the prayer offers and will accept them graciously as I really want this little miracle to happen.

Thank you Gals for your kind wishes.  I am 4 wks now.  I am waiting for sickness to show up.  It hasn't done that yet as it has in the past pregnancies.  I do appreciate your prayers as I get through this pregnancy.  I wish you all well here.  For those going through pregnancy scares, I hope you get some good news.  You all take care!
