Progesterone dropped, HCG doubling

Hi all. on CD 33, got a pos blood test and progesterone at 30. at about CD 40 (ovulation was either on day 14 or 18, temps were wacky this month) progesterone level dropped to 20, HCG about 12,000. retested HCG on CD 42, it doubled to about 26,000. The drop in progesterone scared me so dr. prescribed 200mg prometrium suppositories, been taking it for a few days. So... i'm pretty worried by the progesterone drop but encouraged by HCG rise. is it too late for the prometrium to help? going to ask for another round of tests today. thank you in advance.

20 progestrone level still isn't that low.  Most doctors say below 10 may be a negative sign, however there still have been pregnancies that have had progestrone levels below 10.  The prometrium will help keep that level at baby.  You HCG #'s look great, so try not to worry to much.  Everything looks good.

with dd, mine was 8.9 at one point and i didnt starts supps till like 2 weeks later and she is a happy healthy 2yo...  20 is fine, prog levels vary throughout a given day but the supps cant hurt....

thanks... i'll have it re-tested tomorrow just to be sure.

How about temperature.. can it fluctuate throughout the day even while on progesterone? my temp's been around 98.8, 99 (even before the progesterone). hasnt risen substantially since being on it, went down to 98.5 this AM. i know daytime temps dont count (and i dont even know why i'm still charting with BBTs.. just for peace of mind, i guess) but my temp's around 98.1 midday. thanks again-

I went today to get my progesterone level checked and it came back at 65.  This is 6 days after conception and I can't seem to find anywhere whether this is high or not.  I know it needs to be better than 15, but is this a sign that there could be multiples?  I was on clomid and than had a shot of novarel.  Can't take a pt till next friday they say because it will give me a false positive.  Any knowledge out there would be great help.  Hopefully before friday next week!
