Progesterone levels

Here's my situation.....due to irregular cycles w/ or w/o ovulation, I received an injection to trigger a new cycle, 5 days later, I started my period, on day 3-7 I took 100mg Clomid/day, on days 7&9 I had a Repronex injection, on day 11, my u/s, showed a 17cm folicle on my R ovary and a 18cm folicle on my L ovary, we waited until day 11 for my HCG, which I did at 7pm followed by intercourse that evening.  On day 15 @ 9am, I had an IUI w/59 million washed sperm (hubby's).  On day 20 @ 9am, my progesterone level was at 12.2; M.D stated this was "perfect". Now I have to wait another week to take a pregnancy test.  

don't know what to think after reading some of the progesterone levels with some cases, it's all overwhelming, just like the wait.  Does anyone have any suggestions/comments to my case?

If you ovulate, your progesterone level should be over 10.  Yours is, so that is good news.

thanks to those that replied.  I've read that progesterone levels don't really determine pregnancy or not, but what do you think of my chances of being pregnancy at this point?

I went through infertiltity for 4 years and finaly got pregnat on repronex, hcg, and progesterone. IUI with hubbies sperm. 12 is good for projesterone just make sure if you are pregnant that they continue to monitor your progesterone.  Best of luck and keep us posted

there is a good chance.  considering you know the timing was right.  
But make sure that they keep an eye on your progesterone levels.  Prgesterone may not help you concieve but it will help you maintain the pregnancy.

really good chance. with a progesterone level like that you know you ovulated. you know your hubby's sperm was up there at the right time... you had all the right hormones... really good chance. i'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I have a crazy question....does stress levels affect increase or decrease in progesterone levels?

Okay, so not to hijack this thread, but I'm new to the Clomid too - I'm 38 and TTC #4, but have no periods, so that's why I'm on it - I did my first cycle last month and had my blood test last week.  The nurse called today to tell me the lab said my numbers were VERY high - 30 - and they marked "possible pregnancy"...

I forgot to ask her what 30 meant and I've been trying to do some research on my own, and it looks like this site is the only one with real info - can anyone tell me what I'm looking at?? LOL!  She told me to take a HPT in the morning even though my period isn't due for a few days - she thinks it may come back positive if I am..

I don't want to get my hopes up, but it seems like 30 is really high compared to what I'm reading!

Hi Sandra, you didn't say what dpo you were, and I'm don't have too much information on progesterone levels except the stuff that I wrote, but from what I've been reading, 30 is a good number, supposedly it's a good sign of ovulation, this level doesn't really detect pregnancy, my progesterone level was at a 12.2 @ 5dpo, I would just wait on prego test.  Good Luck!

Today I am at 10dpo and I have noticed a small streak of sometimes pink and sometimes light brown in my discharge, I have had cramps on and off and sometimes some side pain, I'm getting a little nervouse because I so much want to have a baby or two.  I've taken two home test and they were both negative, but they were both also at least more than five days before my period would have started.  Any suggestions.  I sometimes feel sick to my stomach, but I don't know if it's from my nerves or actual signs of pregancy.

30 is a very good progesterone level and could indicate pregnancy. i'd take a test. just to give you a comparison- when I was 9 weeks pregnant and on progesterone supplements my level was 21...

Thanks guys - that was the 21 day blood test (so what, maybe 5-7 DPO?)...

I took the EPT test this morning, but it read negative, and the instructions said it's only 54% accurate before a period, so I need to go get a First Response - my OB feels good about the number and potential pregnancy, and I found a really interesting chart about progesterone levels that showed pre-pregnancy should be max 28, and 1st trimester can be like 11 - 90... so I'm dyin here! LOL!

Ok here is my problem.
I am 20, and I was taking Birth Control pills but came off them last Feb. I havent had a period since so I went to the doctor and she did some blood work and my progesterone levels were almost non- existant. So basically what I am asking is, would my levels be a result of me taking Oral contrasptive, is this doing harm to my ovaries, and is this a normal thing for me to do. My doctor is getting me to take a progesterone drug for 10 days and we hope I will get a period, then in 2 months i have to take the drug again for another 10 days.
Any info that you can give me would be great as I am kinda freaking out here not knowing what is going on.

my progesterone level was 72.9 done a preg test yesterday  when my  period was due but only had faint line has this happened to any body your comments would be appreciated  also sometimes have period like pains but nothing comes

Hola everyone! I'm a little confused myself with all of this. This is my second month on clomid. First month we tried on our own and this month we did IUI. My nurse just called and told me that my progesterone level 7 dpo was 13.9. She made it seem like it was not a very good number and that they like to see a level of about 20 when on clomid. She said if I'm not pregnant this time around that they will increase my clomid dosage for my next period. We'll see what happens - she told me to take a home pregnancy test next week if I don't get my period before then. I'm praying!
