Prometrium before IVF?

I am starting IVF with donor eggs and my RE has me on prometrium 200mg 2 at bedtime for 12 days and BCP on first day of cycle. This is different from the first IVF with my own eggs. Anniebrooke I know you used donor, was this something your RE had you on? Anyone else know anything about this ? Debra

I was on Prometrium when I had IUI but with my IVF my doc put me on daily injections of progestrone. The absorbtion rate of the Prometrium is not as great as it is with the injections. It is suppose to prepare the uterus for implantation.
