Propecia & Pregnancy

by raghuk, Oct 03, 2007 09:17PM
HI,
I had been taking propecia pills for last 6 months, my doctor had advised to stop the pills 3 months in advance before my wife could conceive. My questions are,
1. Is a break of 3 months sufficient, how long does the drug residue remain active in my body
2. At what stage of pregnancy can I restart with the pills
3. What are the side-effects of prolonged use of propecia on me (apart from the sexual side effects in about 2% of the people)?

Thanks

http://www.drugs.com/propecia.html

has some good info, and suggests you talk to a pharmacist for the most up-to-date information.

You might also check the website of the manufacturer of Propecia ... they might also have an 800 number you can call.

Good luck!
