QUESTION - ABOUT LH SURGE

Hi TTC'ers,

I just got my LH surge this morning. My DH is at work and wouldn't be back until around 6 tonight. I'm afraid I'll miss my window. How long should the lh surge last for. And does it mean I am ovulating or I will soon. Please clarify this for me. I really want this month to be my month so I'm hoping it works out.

I'm not to sure...because I don't use them....but I believe it means 'o' is coming....they say 12-36hrs I think I read...

I remember when I used my OPK's the morning said no surge but I had a ton of EWCM. Then I read not to test in the am to test between 10-2. We did bd that am and I got a pos surge that afternoon. My husband left the next day for work (travels) so I know that's the day I got Preggo, Good luck!

Your LH is for 2 days.  BUT, my OB said that you should be having some fun up to 5 days before your LH surge, because once you surge, you could have ovulated already.  The OPKs are not an exact science.  We took this advice because the first month of trying we did it accdg to the pkg.  Then second month, we took her advice and it worked.  Not much to go by statistically, but I believe the OB over the OPK package.  Good luck!!

BD tonight, Saturday and Sunday.  Keep going if you want to but three days after the surge are recommended.  Have Fun!!!
