Question About Heartbeat use as open forum as well

I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and was having problems at 5 weeks 2 days they gave me an ultrasound that is how we found out i was that far along.. The sac measured 5 weeks 2 days. But that is all we could see no heartbeat nothing and i have heard it was too early to see anything so my question is i have a doctors appointment on April 5th i will be 10 weeks then. will we be able to hear the heartbeat on a doppler? or would it still be to early
i am just worried about missed misscarriage i have had no bleeding or pain so hopefully everything is fine i am just a little freaked out because nothing like this happened with DS

thanks!

10 weeks might be a little early to hear the heartbeat. If you are very thin that gives you a better chance. After all the kids I have had, my belly is pudgy and I know that makes it harder to hear with the doppler until the baby is bigger.

But with my first DD, back when I was skinny :) I DID hear her heartbeat on the doppler at 10 weeks. I have this written in a journal I wrote for her.

Are they doing an u/s?    If they are you can at least see it.   Since they didn't see anything at 5w,  which by the way is way too early,  and do the doppler and don't hear anything I would think they would send you for an u/s to confirm the pregnacy is viable.  In the u/s you will see a flickering h/b.  It was the greatest feeling ever and I layed there and cried.  Hope you see yours!!
