Sorry, I don't know anything about Robitussin, but I do have a question for you in regards to something you posted on the 26th of last month. You stated that you were about 3 months along before showing positive on both hpt and blood work, so my question to you is, did you have any symptoms? Being that your hcg levels were so low, I thought maybe you would be asymptomatic. Thanks in advance.
with my first pregnancy, i had no symptoms at all....i didn't miss a period until my third month, but my doctor felt that was because i was on bcp. i think i took a few hpt at home, and one at the dr., then some blood work ---all neg. when my pg finally showed up about a week later, my hcg levels did come up a bit. the weird thing is, my daughter was born with 4 kidneys and 4 ureters. She was seen by a nephrologist and a uroligist who both feel that she came by the extra organs from a possible twin that did not develop.
my son was also the product of a multiple pregnancy---i had a partial m/c with him. the ob in the er wanted to do a d & c, but i said no....and at my next ultrasound, there was my son :)
now i'm just trying to let my body get back to normal after this last m/c, and i'm learning all the stuff i can to improve our chances to get pg again and carry a healthy baby :)
I did the Robitussin thing with this pregnancy and my last. My friends thought I was crazy! I don't know for sure if it was due to the medicine, but I got pregnant immediatly both times! I learned about using Robitussin from a book, I thought i was strange so I googled it and found the same info! Best of luck to you!
Robitussin's main ingredient is guaifenesin, it is also in mucinex. Guaifenesin is an expectorant and thins mucous. It is supposed to work for CM too!! I have heard of many success stories. It is supposed to help the little swimmers travel better, :) I am taking it faithfully this month and hope it works. You can get it in generic form at Wal-mart for less than 3 dollars. Equate Tussin (chest congestion) Make sure you get the regular with no other ingredients. Good luck!!
