Question about cervial mucous

I went off birthcontrol last month and my husband and I are trying to conceive. Last week I went to the bathroom and had a very long thick white discharge. Is that the kind that you have when you ovulalte or is that what it is like when you are pregnant? I am supposed to start my cycle in the next couple days(we will see I know that you can be irregualar after birth control) I have not had any more of the think discharge but I have had mild cramping. Do you think the discharge could mean that I am pregnant :)

When you ovulate you usually have very stretchy clear mucus, that resembles egg-whites.  They call it Egg White Cervical Mucus.

If your mucus is white then this is the other mucus that comes after you have ovulated.  Unfortunately you cannot tell by the mucus if you are pg or not.  You have to take a hpt.

I usually got that kinda cm before I would ovulate and than again after I ovulated.  sounds like you may have already ovulated or are going to.  In the next few days try to look for the egg white cm like what was said before.  

Dont go on your cm if your pg because when I was pg with the baby I miscarried I had an increase in cm and had to wear a pad it was so bad but I am pg again and I dont have an increase in cm at all.

When I first went off Birth Control I had the same thing.  What I was told was that I was loosing my mucus plug after years of being on Birth Contrl.  That is probably what it is.

I too had an increase in cm when I m/c it turned to almost thrush, i am beginning to wonder if that is a sign or a cause of m/c

I went off bc three months ago and I have had similar mucus. This month the EWCM lasted longer - two days before and two days after my temp showed that I O'd. could be related to bc
