Question about lubricant.....

Hi girls,  I just had a quick question about what I can use when bd'ing.  Imovulating this week and Im always really dry down there.  I heard saliva isnt good to use because it kills sperm.  Is there a lubricant that works well and helps you get pregnant??  I live in Canada, so we dont always have the awsome stuff that you girls in the U.S. have.  Any ideas would be great.  We have been ttc for about 1.5 years...m/c inbetween and dh always uses saliva (foreplay)sorry TMI?? Anyways do you think thats what could be keeping us from getting pregnant or maybe prolonging things?

The reason why they say raw egg whites is because it is most like the fertile fluids our bodies produce. One suggestion, make sure you set it out at room temp. before hand. Your body will literally spit it back out if it is cold. Sorry TMI, but it has happened to me. It is also very messy. I read about the egg whites in a fertility awareness book. Best of Luck. We are ttc and have been since m/c in March. I unfortunately don't have the problem with being dry, but have used egg whites when we didn't have anything else.

Preseed. You can go to early-pregnancy-tests.com and get a  package of preseed and some Hpt's for a good price.. and they ship really quick.   its the only lubricant proven to be safe to sperm.  Good luck

We also usually use ky lube until I found out it's bad for sperm and ttc. SOOOO, sorry if this to too much information, but here's what we do. When ttc we will try to bd every day or every other day during the fertile time, which is a lot for me to get turned on, every day! So, before we bd if I can't produce enough arousal fluid, we will use just a little ky on me, then he stimulates me with his hand, and by the time I "O", there is always enough arousal fluid to bd. If that doesn't work and your still dry, there is lube conducive to sperm life. You can order it online I think...

Hey,

I've read on several occasions that you can actually use the raw egg white from chickens eggs as lubrication...it doesn't kill sperm and many people have gotten their BFP's after using it!
Good Luck!

WOW!!  I have never heard of egg whites, that makes sense.

I was going to suggest Pre-seed also...I got my BFP the first month I used it. Not saying THAT is what caused me to get the positive, but after no success the previous months, I think it is what helped.

please be careful with the egg whites, although it is effective it can also give you samonella poisoning.

I used preseed, got pergnant in 2nd cycle....after 9 months of trying.

def Preseed-heard awesome things about it, doesn't hurt sperm, and can be shipped to you.  Good luck!
