I have actually lost about 25 pounds already and my daughter is going to be 6 weeks tomorrow. My weight came off very fast after she was born. I guess it all depends on the person.
ok that looks uplifting... that is without dietingLosing weight Yo-yo dieting I am assuming or exercise just.. being a new mom and have some of the weight come of and eating normally... i hope haha
I too was fortunate with my DD, I went in weighing 136 and left weighing 121.5, (three pounds shy of my pre-pregnancy weight. The one thing I never did throughout my pregnancy was over eat, I ate more breakfast and grazed through the afternoon, but I also stayed active, by walking, working in my garden etc. Good luck
well I am not thin... I was a size 14 before baby... 34 yrs old two daughters.. I lost 100lbs like 2 years ago and I am hoping only to gain the 25lbs my dr says.. and just wanted to know how much of this will come off after baby and how much I will have to work off. YOu only gained 15lbs during pg.. wow... amazing I applaud you!
my weight melted off too. a lot of it was water, but everything else came off too. i was at prepregnancy weight by 4 weeks pp (30+ pounds). i had preeclampsia so a lot was water. having her 4 weeks early meant i missed out on a month of gaining.
i attribute most of my weight loss to pumping. i know bf'ers lose weight quickly. i was pumping extra milk, so i was using more calories than the average bf'er. i'm weaning now, and i dread not being able to eat whatever i want without worrying about my weight.

Each person is different.
I lost all my weight plus some by the time my dd was 4 mths. I gained about 45-50lbs too.
I nursed her and that helped me shed the lbs.
BUT....my SIL is nursing and is not have an easy time losing the last 10-15lbs..my nephew is over 6mths...
I put on about 60 lbs with my son. At 4 weeks I had already lost 30 lbs. Then the last 30 has been tough to get off. A lot of my weight gain was water weight. I would say that usually people lose 1/2 of what they gained within a month but everyone is different.
I lost all of my baby weight right away, lucky genes & breast feeding. My SIL has only lost 15 of her lbs, she did gain 62lbs & her son was 11lbs 6oz at birth (c sect of course). Her gyn told her if she doesn't loose it in about 6 months, it will be harder to come off. That breast feeding does wonders, it's good for you & the baby.
