Questions about my previous post......confused!!

by nalla, May 31, 2007 12:00AM
Sorry to post here again, but I got a lot of info from all of you, so I thought I would post here again.
Well I got my ultrasound to check for stones in my gallbladder today. The tech looked at it and said she didn't see anything, no stones or anything there. But the Dr. that I saw said that it was definatly my gallbladder, he even set up my pre-opt for Tuesday. The radiologist will look at the scan on Monday.
Also, I have been really been paying attention and sometimes the pain will come even when I haven't eaten anything at all and last for an hour or more. But usually always hurts after I eat, even if it's just toast. Could gallbladder problems do that?
Also, about an hour ago, in the area there is pain, I'm feeling what is like gas. It's not painful, but feels like there is a lot of bubbles right in that area.I can feel them when I put my hand there. (it's almost like a baby kicking)  They are not all over my belly, just in that one spot and it's not moving any place like I would expect gas to do. I haven't had dinner yet, and my sister thinks that is all it is. So could all of these problems be just gas and not actually my gallbladder? (I pray it's just gas!!) I haven't read anything about "bubbles" or gas with gallbladder issues.
I'm seeing my regualr Dr. on Monday. (I didn't see him the other day when I went to get checked) so I will talk with him about all of this. I was just hoping to get all of your opinions also.
thanks guys! :)

Hi, sorry you are still feeling bad. When my mum had gall blader flare ups she has really bad gas, I remember her burping loads, I think gaviscon helped with that. I hope it's just gas too! Maybe you have just had an acidic stomach for a while.

I still think it is gall bladder. I have a slew of symptoms w/ my falre ups, including gas, funny looking stool (sorry TMI) and even gas. While not every fits the profile (hey i don't,lol) there is an old saying for GB patients:

Fair
Fourty
Fat
Flatulent

I fit the fair and am only occasionally gassy, lol. But gas is a common symptom.

Thanks guys!  I guess we will see what happens on Monday when I see my Dr..
I guess now I have an excuse to lay in bed and watch tv all weekend and make hubby do all the dirty work around here!  LOL

hmmm....I wonder if extra stress could cause these symptoms??
God knows I have had my share of that this past month!
