Quitting tobacco and your menstrual cycle

Quitting tobacco and your menstrual cycle

I just quit smoking 3 weeks ago and my period was due 4 days ago. I have the paraguard IUD for about 2 years now. I had it put in after my son was born. Since the chance of being pregnant is so slim I was wondering if quitting smoking might have something to do with my period being late. Has any other ladies out there had an irregular or late period after they quit smoking? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

If your period is late, you can always test.  I have heard some ladies talk about a link between smoking (either starting or stopping) and changes in their period.  Congratulations on quitting!  I hear it is the hardest thing to do.
