RAWINA to passionp

Hi, and thank you. I will remember to post a birthday note for you on your birthday. Level II ultrasound is an ultrasound you get between 18-21 weeks of pregnancy(usualy on 20 weeks) and they can get all the details about the fetus(his heart, kidney, brain...etc.) They can find any(or most) of they defect in the fetus if there's any. About your amnio test, did you get any of the results? I mean, there is a test called FISH were they can detect any chromosome problems (like down's syndrome), and usualy you get the results within 24-48 hours. If the FISH results are good, then they expect to see no problems with the final test results(after 3-4 weeks). I got mine the next day, and, today they told me the final results, normal!! YAY!!!!. So, more likely(I hope) that level II u/s is going to be so good. Let me know how is it going with you. I will keep you in my prayer.

The AFP stsnds for alphfetoprotein.
The AFP test, sometimes called the MSAFP or maternal serum AFP, is where a blood sample is drawn from the mother to check the levels of AFP. AFP is a protein secreted by the fetal liver and excreted in the mother's blood. It is generally used for detecting neural tube defects, but it can also indicate: abdominal wall defects esophageal and duodenal atresia, some renal and urinary tract anomalies turner syndrome, some low birth weight fetuses, and placental complications. A low level of AFP could also indicate Down Syndrome. I never had it or any other tests, I just did go straight to the amnio test, it's over 99% accuret. Sorry, I don't remember, did you have you ultrasound that it's done between 18-21 weeks? It can tell almost every thing about the baby. What state do you live in. I live in Illinois. There is a genetic testing center you can call any time for free and they give you the best answer any pregnant woman is lokking for. I called them during my both pregnancies. In fact I trust their answers more than any of my obs. this is the number 1-800-252-4847. Good luck.

I did hear hb at 14 wks! It was 168 bph. You will see and hear the hb on the u/s day, in fact you will be able to see all details about your baby, you will count the ten toes and ten fingers!!!! I had alot of fun to watch that with my first son, I got a bunch of print for all parts of his body. I am having mine 7/10. I can't wait to see him doing well. my DR said I worry too much, but I am a mother!!! The number that I gave you is a great resource for all any information. I will let you know how is mine did go and I wish a good luc. When is you EDD?  enjoy you 4th of July
