Really bad morning sickness.....I'm worried

by casey's mom, Dec 08, 2006 12:00AM
I am 12 weeks on monday. I am having such bad morning sickness I feel like I'm going to die. Not kidding...every time I get sick I'm afraid my heart is just going to stop. I can't keep hardly anything down and I'm just falling apart. I'm afraid I'm doing harm to my baby. I've tried everything!!

Definitely call your Dr. are you throwing up to the point you cant keep liquids down? you could have something called hyperemesis gravidarum which is basically morning sickness so severe you cant stop throwing up...that can be dangerous since you can get dehydrated.

on another note Comadre! como van las cosas? we had our 6 wk ultrasound ans saw our little baby and their fluttering heart. It was awsome! we cried like babies. Good luck and our prayers are with all of you.

Sometimes it can be a vicious cycle with the dehydration and sickness. Have you tried going in the hospital overnight to be rehydrated, and get nausea meds. After that, the Zofran, or maybe Phenergan should be able to help more.

Maybe you should call your dr.? Sometimes they can prescribe some meds.I know morning sickness is a good sign but sometimes its to much.I'm around 3/4 months & maybe I'm crazy but I want to get morning sickness, just to know it's true, but if not I"m fine also..lol..nanis

I know how you feel. I am 22 weeks pregnant with my second child. And with both pregnancya I've been unfortunate enough to have morning sickness throughout my pregnancys. Nothing seemed to work at all for me.  Until your HCG levels even out you will continue to feel sick no matter what you take. You are feeling the nausious feelings due to the rise in your levels.  Most pregnant women experiencing this normally start to feel better around 16 weeks. My doctor finally prescribed me a medication called REGLAN which I take 3 times a day with meals. They work wonders for me. Just hang in there, you only have a little while to go and hopefully your levels even out on their own and you will feel better.
