Really confused....please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really confused....please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I began having some slight uti symptoms a about 3 weeks ago. My obgyn found blood in my urine, said I had a uti and put me on ammoxicillin....I took the full dose and it didn't work.
I went back and they found even more blood in my urine and my urine culture was positive for uti so they put me on another antibiotic called cephalexin. I took about 4 and a half days worth and the symptoms were getting worse. I began having a constant pain in my urethra (spelling?) the same pain as when you urinate too quickly and I began having pain on my sides and each side of my lower abdomen. At this point I was hospitolized for 24 hours and was given the same but stronger dose of antibiotic through an i.v.
The doctor released me yesterday and said that the uti was gone, that I had no kidney infection and no kidney stones butI am still having the pain in my urethra all the time and on my sides and my back and the doctor said she didn't know why.
I am personally afraid that the infection is still actually there.
My question is this........has anyone ever continued having uti pain even though the infection was cleared up or has anyone had uti pain with no infection at all and has anyone been on multiple antibiotics during pregnancy still to deliver healthy babies????
Any help would be wonderful....Thank you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a UTI that the doctors said was healed. I ended up in the hospital getting antibiotics through an I.V. The doctor at the hospital said that he was surprised I did not have permanant kidney damage.

My sister, though not pg, had a severe kidney infection she is on antibiotics for and she still has lingering symptoms of the infection though the infection was gone.  I am 8 weeks pg and at 6 weeks was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis then a yeast infection.  I got treatment, but had lingering symptoms for about a week or so.  I guess that area is so tender it takes time for the pain to go away.  If you still have your symptoms in a couple of weeks, I'd contact your dr.  I'd try not to worry about the antibiotics.  Your dr. should know which are safe during pg.  Good luck.

I didn't have anything happen until after my ds was born.  And then my milk came in 7 days later.
