Help! I just found out I am 6 weeks pregnant. I have been using the faceFace pain gel Differin for acne for about 7 weeks. It is a class C drug and has no proven problems for birth defects but I am Freaking out. Of course I'm not using it now. Anyone have experience using this drug with pregnancy?
I am not sure I have an answer for you, but I used a product that had a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys AHA in it before I found out I was pregnant last time and now I have a healthy littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys baby girl (as you know because you just responded to my post!!!!) I think as long as you are not using it now, you should be fine. If you are still in doubt, tell your doctor what you were using and see what he says about it.

Hey there,
I think it is good that you stopped the differin, just because you can never be sure. Lamictal is category C as well. This is probably safer than some of the other options of anti-epileptic drugs - I know that valproate and phenytoin are linked with specific serious problems. Obviously you should talk to you doctor about this! And not just the OB but hopefully a neurologist with experience treating women with epilepsy who are pregnant since there are risks to your baby of having seizures too and stopping lamictal too fast can cause more seizures. hope this helps! good luck to you.
