Rh senitized and decreas coiling in umbilical cord need prayers and input

hi all well a quick recap on what has happened well i have three children I'm Rh- had 4 late m/c and one stillbirth at 23 weeks i am on my 9th pregnancy lost one of the twins at 10 weeks and am now 19 weeks have been on bed rest and have had preterm labour contractions they have stopped and I'm off of bed rest still have to take it easy but thought all was going well until today went in to see ob she said everything seem fine with the baby but the u/s said there was decreased coiling in umbilical cord which results in decreased fetal movement the ob said she was not sure what that meant so have no clue what to think and she said that my Rh- status is sensitized as of march 28th but on march 7 was neg and given the Rh immuglobin or whinro( sorry they may be spelled wrong) due to the bleeding i had which was due to loosing one of the twins  my titer is 1:2 on march 28th which my family Dr said was due to the whinro  i am so confused as to what to think i have had another titer done but will not know until Thursday my other question is my ob only works Tues and Thursdays in the same office as my family Dr and my family dr is so booked up that you cant get in to see her and if i do and have questions she says ask the ob so should i be requesting to see a Dr that  specializes in the Rh-sensitivity and one that is there more often any help input thought a prayer that my son will be ok would be great im so scared that we will lose the baby due to this condition

I don't know a lot about RH- stuff, but if you aren't happy with the treatment or lack there of you should maybe try and see a different OB or even high risk OB. You should be able to reach your OB at anytime for anything, any question. At my OB's office there is ALWAYS a OB on call no matter what day or what time it is. Good luck.

It was really hard to read what your questions were, due to the lack of a single period in the whole thing.  I'm not criticising, just offering a suggestion that may help others decipher your future questions.  We want you to come back and share, but some might skip your question if they can't read it.

What I think you're asking is about the decreased coiling of the cord, and possible Rh sensitization of the fetus.

Decreased coiling is not something I've seen addressed in nearly 30 years as a L&D nurse.  My guess is that somewhere there is an obscure study that links it with some sort of risk, but in actual practice I'm doubtful it means anything at all.  I've seen babies with cords that are almost straight, and some with cords so tightly coiled they look curled. You are only 19 weeks.  I don't think that "decreased coiling" is a big indicator of anything at all.

If you have rec'd Rhogam during this pregnancy as it sounds like you did, there will be certain indicators of this when they are looking at whether or not you are sensitized.  An OB doctor most likely should be able to decipher whether the results are from true sensitization, or simply the result of receiving Rhogam.

If the doctor isn't sure, by all means you can ask for a referral to a high risk perinatologist who might be able to shed some light on the subject.

Good luck, and come back to fill us in on your progress!

I would have to agree it was hard to read, i just re read the post and realised that i had not put a single period in sorry, haven't been thinking straight since i got home. yes those were my questions the one Dr said it was because of the shot and this ob said it is a incompatibility sensitization to antigen D which i was told before from other pregnancy's that it would be positive for up to 12 weeks due to the shot. i will be asking for another consult just for clarification as I'm confused as i have been told two different thing. as for the coiling of the umbilical cord, thank you for helping put my mind at rest i looked it up online and there is good and bad news so i'm going with the good news i cant change it so will not focus on the negative but on the positive, thanks again.

Good!  I really don't think the decreased coiling is a sign of anything bad, mostly b/c I work in a high risk center, and they use any little thing found on ultrasound as a reason to either induce women or as a reason for furthur testing.  I've never once in 30 years seen "decreased coiling" of the cord mentioned.  Yet babies are born with straight cords every day.
