Risk for Miscarriage

I am almost 12 weeks along and went to the doctor last week for first visit. Heartbeat was found easily with doppler and was 170, music to my ears. However since week 10, I have had spotting, worsening after a bowel movement, pink or brown and sometimes red. It is usually more in the AM and tapers off in the afternoon to nothing. A few days after my appointment(where my doc did a pap smear) I have passed a small amt of yellow/pink tissue very small but on 2-3 occasions. I'm wondering if it could be b/c she did pap smear and irritated the cervix. I have had no cramping whatsoever or back pain. My doc said sometime bleeding can be from ruptured capillaries on cervix after straining for bowel movement. I am worried, anyone had similar experiences?

I don't think you have anything to worry about.  My friend spotted throughout the first few months of her pregnancy.  Her son is now 3 years old.  My other friend bled a lot in her first few weeks and she thought she was having a miscarriage but she didn't.  Her son is also now 3 years old.  I would listen to your doctor...spotting is not uncommon.

Not to be gross, but are you sure the spotting is coming from the front? I am asking because if this is happening after you are straining to have a bowel, maybe the bleeding is coming from your rectum.  As a constipated pregnant lady myself, I know all to well what it feels and looks like after you strain to have a bowel movement.  

Spotting is normal, but with that being said it always causes fear.  I would just continue to let your doctor know everytime it happens.  I am sure all is well and I hope you get some relief soon!! !

if it is after a #2 try stool softners i had the same thing and it help a lot

Thanks for the advice and comments. Yes I am certain the bleeding is from front, I was thinking the same thing b/c have had bleeding with BM before so I made sure it was from the front and it was. I just have to let it go b/c its out of my control anyway and just pray it is ok. Thanks for the advice!
