Risperidone and Pregnancy, Does it effect concieving?

I am on 3mgs of Risperidone and my fiance and I are trying for a baby. In the last 2 years I have missed 2 periods one from stress and one we dont know why. I read that Risperidone makes you miss periods, should I switch medication so I am not missing periods when I am trying to concieve (conceive)? Thanks

Are you trying to conceive with the knowledge of the doctor who prescribed the risperidone?   That's a little surprising, as it's category C -- i.e., a drug with unknown effects on pregnancy.  I'd consult with your doc if you have not.

Thanks, you are so helpful :) There is studies on the internet about Risperidone and it is not considered to be harmful. I have spoke with a nurse and she told me the medications I am on are not to be worried about if I become pregnant. I am on such a low dosage, and they arent considered to be harmful. I have a appointment with my phycyatrist on the 21st and I have a bunch of questions for her. I just am trying to do reasearch before hand to be more prepared.
