Ryan's Tummy Time

Ok, I follow some of everyone's advise.  I put Ryan on his belly here and there and it ended up being about a couple of hours.  I left him on his belly and when he got pissed he raised up on his arms a little.  He even almost rolled over because he was so pissed being on his.  It is bad to left his cry a little on his belly?  He seemed to work harder when he got pissed, of course I put him on his back once he cry that cry.  Even on his back he rolls half way.  It this how it starts?

That is great! He is working hard to move that body. Are you getting down there with him? That seemed to keep the kids from getting too frustrated. I would lay on my tummy and face them. I would sing, talk, and gives lots of squeaky mom praise when they lifted their head (very young) raised up on their arms, got on all fours to rock, etc. They really enjoyed their tummy time in short order.

That's how my dd rolled for the first time. She was about 3-4 months and I put her on her belly. She hated it. She started to complain/crying. She got pissed and rolled over for the first time.  Now she wont stop rolling.  lol. Keep it up, soon, he'll be sitting on his own.

Sounds like it's going good, keep him entertained that way he'll begin to enjoy it so much he'll be rolling from back to tummy just so he can play on his tummy!!
