I had sex 6 days ago and i think i might be pregnant. Is it too soon to take a home pregnancy test? If so, how much longer should i wait before i take a home pregnancy test and it be accurate? I was supposed to start my period 3 days ago. 2 days ago i spotted. Then today i bled a little heavier but now it stopped. What does that mean? I'm on birth control but the night i had unprotected sex i wasn't in my right mind and i forgot to take my birth control. But i doubled the next day. I'm still takin my birth control, should i stop incase i'm pregnant?

Yes it's too soon.  You have to wait until your period is late.  Don't stop taking the pill, the likelihood of you being pregnant is slim.  It sounds to me that you had your period.  Periods are not the same every month, some months are heavier than others.  Plus, if you had sex 6 days ago and got your period 3 days ago, you were most likely not fertile at that time.  You had already ovulated.

It is too soon to test right now - it typically takes 7-10 days for the egg to implant (once it is fertilized) and only then will the pregnancy hormone HCG be produced.  HCG is the hormone that a pregnancy test will detect.

Test about 14 days after possible conception occurred, i.e. in 8 days from now.  Waiting until you miss you period is a misconception that is based on the assumption that a women has a regular 28 day cycle and ovulates on day 14 (i.e. ovulates 14 days before her period).
