Sack and no visible baby or pole

10/27 HCG levels 35,000; 10/29 HCG levels 41,000.  Normal or not...

I have PCOS.  The first day of my last period was 8/17/10.  I was feelin rough the second to last week or so in Sept 2010.  My home pregnancy test came up positive on 10/8/10.  I then also tested positive on primary doc visit urine test on 10/11/10.  I scheduled an OB/GYN visit for 10/27/10.  I thought I was about 10 weeks pregnant based on first day of my last period.  I Had OB/GYN sonogram on 10/27/10.  The OB found a black sack but no heartbeat/no pole.  Was the sound on?  He looked perplexed and stressed, kept looking and also found a fibroid tumor about same size.  He asked me if I was sure about the first day of my last period. We also re-hashed that I have PCOS and he stated I might be off in calulations and I was having an off cycle month when I thought I was pregnant.  He thought i was only about 4-5 weeks pregnant.  He also asked: "Do you feel pregnant?  Have you had any spotting? Have you had any cramping, or tender breasts or nausea? Have you had any symptoms to make you believe you miscarried?  Or, any symptoms to make you think you are still pregnant?"  I felt it was the end of the world after dealing with a recent miscarriage in 2/2009 and prior to that my son died in utero at 6.5 mos in 10/2005 from an E-Coli infection.  The OB then prescribed an HCG blood test; results: 35,000 HCG on 10/27 and 41,000 HCG on 10/29.  I spoke with the Nurse for OB on 10/29 and she said levels start dropping off after 35,000.  I looked that up and that was false.  I spoke with her again today, 11/1/10 and she said "Oh, results look ok.  Wait to talk to the OB and possibly set-up sonogram and visit right after."  When he I spoke with the OB today, 11/1/10, he said "Not doubling in 48 hours, do you still feel pregnant?  Still tender breasts and nausea or have you had cramping or bleeding" I told him I still felt pregnant.  I have another transvaginal sonogram scheduled for 11/3/10.   What do you think?  Has anyone experienced anything similar?  I want to be positive.  I have read that levels should go up at least 60%.  My levels only rose about 20%. Please pray for me and my baby and that all is well with us.
