Sex after birth?

My insurance got cancelled weeks after giving birth, but i'm 7 weeks after postpartum. is it safe to have sex now even if i haven't gone to the doctor cause of my insurance been canceled?

Have you had any complications or bleeding?  Most doctors usually say 6 weeks.  

ps -- If you don't have any insurance, be sure to use condoms or get on the Pill.  You *can* get pregnant this early.

No, no complications at all and for sure i will use condoms. The pill i'm not so sure since the girls i've known that take pill have their period really weird, so i just rather use condoms, so my period won't change.
