Well Hunny.. If you wanna try and tough it out and say that you did.. then try to handle the pain.. maybe that'll give you more of a PUSH to keep taking that pain and you can tell your kid what a pain it was.. hehe.. OR If you don't want to do that then yes I would go to the doctor and see if there is anything they can do.. just tell them everything and how you can't sleep well.. and hopefully they'll be able to do something for you! I hope everything goes well.. let us know what you decide and how that goes..
where do you live? is it far from the hospital??? i think i'd go, even just to be able to sleep comfortably for a night until the little man is ready to come out.
Tough call--don't know what time you wrote your post.
If it has really, truly been 2 days and you haven't slept, I would opt for going in and trying to get some medication for sleep. You can try 50mg of Benadryl (2 of the over the counter tablets) also--sometimes that is all the hospital gives out! It is quite safe.
Just be sure the baby is moving as much as he normally does, it is an old wives tale that the baby stops moving when you are in labor. Think of these pre-labor contractions as "reassuring hugs" your body is giving the baby--not hellish misery!
(that comes later--hehe) sorry couldn't help myself.
Hey,
I wrote that about 2:30pm and its now 4:00pm my time I'm in Texas if that helps but I don't know if I want to go to the hospital I don't think I can handel another disappointment he has moved a lil but not like he normaly does he has been very slow the last few days but there is times during the day he want slow down but for the most part he isn't really moving if that makes and sence at all lol most days anymore the only reason I know he is still alive is because of the hiccups lol but he don't really get them as much this morning it felt like he was trying to kick his way out but no luck lol I know he is fine I'm just I guess you would call it Anxtious well anyways thats about it...
Are you still able to walk and talk through your contractions? I hope your contractions are getting closer. If you came to our unit 10 minutes apart 2 cm I hate to say it but we'd send you back home. Try to get some rest. You will need it and this will all be over with sooner than you think. My best goes out to you. Jen
I can talk during them if I really had to but I try to concentrate on my breathing cus it is hard to breath walk No I can't walk i feel like I'll fall if I do and it hurts so bad to walk but I know if I went to the hospital they would send me home that is why I have decided not to go I can't handle any more disappointments well ty.
Hon it sounds like you are definitely getting closer. As soon as you feel the contractions getting closer together I would suggest going in. You may go fast as your body is already doing a lot of the work. Best of luck to you. Soon you will be holding your son in your arms!
You could also try calling your doc now before it gets too late and see if they could call you in an Rx for a light sleeping medication. Lots of times the doc is glad to do this.
Lol I have been saying I'll go for weeks now and still hadn't I feel to good at the momment to go but anything is possiable thanks for being so possitive I wish I could be I'm starting to say I'm not pregnant just fat with something just moving around in me lol...

Hi there I thought I was the only one who was in labor forever. I don't want to scare you but I was in labor for 56 hours and then they decided to do a c-section(2 years ago) my daughter was face up and no matter what they did she would not turn around. I also went in a few times and they too sent me home only my contractions were a bit closer together but i was not dilating after the 3rd trip in they kept me because I was dehydrated. Make sure the baby is ok and that all the contracting doesn't have the cord around his/her neck. I know exactly how you feel I was 2 weeks late and after all the labor I never thought she would be born. Hang in there and remember it is all worth it in the end!!!!!!!!Good luck and I hope to wake up in the am and see a message from you that you had the baby!!!!!!
Hi Melissa, I can totally relate, With my 2nd daughter I was in labor on and off for about 2 weeks, I would have a day that was contraction after contraction, and the next I'd be fine, I went to the hospital 2 times before the actual delivery. The first time I went in because I was contracting alot and couldn't sleep and hadn't slept for a couple days and my dr. gave me something to sleep (don't remember the name), and Boy did I sleep. But thank goodness she did because a couple days later I was in the hospital for the real thing, I had been dilated to 2 for about a month and then I started progressing to a 5 and stopped, come to find out she was breech and it was too late to turn her, so I had to have another c-section, but It was worth it. I know how you can start to feel just worn down from the contractions and how uncomfortable you get, but it will all soon be done with and you'll forget all about it. All you ll be thinking about is that sweet baby boy!!
Good Luck and hang in there it won't be long!! Kendra
