Sinus Infection during 1st Trimester!

I am in my 11th week (almost 12 weeks) and I recently developed a sinus infection.  My doctor (OB)ended up prescribing an antibiotic to help clear it up.  I was just wondering if anyone else has had to take antibiotics during pregnancy....and were there any harmful side effects?  I REALLY didn't want to take anything even though I have been miserable and have had some very painful sinus headaches.  I 'm just worried about the safety of my child.  I would like to hear ANY feedback....although I'd prefer positive answers.  :)

I think that if your doctor prescribed it to you, it is safe to take. Just because you are pregnant doesn't mean you can't take medicine to make you better. When I was pregnant with my sone 8 years ago. I had a sinus infection 3 times and took medicine each time for it. You and your baby should be just fine.

when I was pregnant I had a terriable infection and I had to take two different kinds of anibotic they want harm your child if its something your doc gave you its not going to harm your child he or she would have told you are wouldn't have given it to you.
