Slow Rising Beta HCG

Hi everyone. Update: the sac can now be seen in uterus but no sign of baby yet. Unfortunately, my numbers are not doubling and doc thinks I will miscarry since I have cramps. No bleeding yet.  My numbers should have been at 2600 but were at 1600 today. Anyone out there who had very slow rising levels who did not miscarry? Can anyone shed some light of hope?  I am so sad because we have been TTC for 2 years...

how many weeks are you and what were your HCG numbers each time? I was thinking about you! and wondering how you have been feeling! HUGS

I am 5 weeks along? Last period July 14 with probable conception date the 25th-27th.  My levels were 682 on last Monday morning and than again 1600 on Friday morning--they should be at 2600 today if doubling properly.  I am going crazy wondering if I am in the midst of a miscarriage. Thanks for the good energy and concern and please keep your fingers crossed for us.

I am going through basically the same thing and would like some opinions as well.  I had some minor spotting, no cramping.  I had a sonogram last Friday and a beta testing.  The sonogram showed no fetus but did show a yolk sack.  My uterus was about 19 mm and they said that is usually too soon to see the fetus anyhow.  My beta level on Friday was 46000 which is high. They had me re-tested on Monday and the level was only 50000.  I'm extremely frustrated because they can't give me any answers.  I feel perfectly fine and haven't had any spotting in over a week.  I'm hoping that maybe my levels are just rising slowly?  Or could I have topped off and the levels are now coming down because of a miscarriage?  I'm due for another sonogram on Friday to see if they can see the fetus yet and get a heartbeat.

i need some help at 5wk the dr only saw the sac and then at 6wk and 2 days they seen the baby but no heartbeat yet my levels the 1 time 5555 and then 2 days later they were 6085 not double but still rising then 2 days ago i started bleeding lightly what does this mean? they are doing another ultrasound wed. to check for a heartbeat if not they want me to get a d&c what do i do?

So sorry to hear this. I've had my share of m/c. I pray that they find a heart beat. I would totally wait until after the u/s. Maybe they can see your uterus better and find the baby's heart beat. You are still very early and maybe the bleeding is just the way your body is adjusting to pregnancy. Well one thing for sure time will tell, until Wed. hang in there and the best of luck to you. 1/23/08
