Personally I never with any pregnancy kept track of any hcg levels.. I would say as long as they continue to rise thats good. All women are different and "The hcg levels" are a guide to go by Just like some babies get their first tooth at 6-10 months some happen earlier or some later...
Wish you best of luck ...
My levels didn't exactly double but they did steadily rise. My progesterone was low and had to go on supplements. I know it is very hard not to worry but as long as they are rising you should be okay. I am almost 32 wks now. I too went thru a miscarriage along with so many on this website. It is very hard to sit and be patient with the next one. I stressed myself out so badly that I was constantly in tears. I will keep you in my prayers.
I have done a lot of reading and found that you should be okay as long as it's rising. If it drops then you have something to worry about but it looks like you just had a small drop and then back up. Mine dropped from 280 to 168 and they said to stop all medication and wait for miscarriage. I'm about 4 weeks and hoping for a miracle. I don't want to accept that it's going to be over until I know it's over. But really, I have been reading so much online for hours a day looking for something that says if it drops, there is still hope. All I have read is that as long as it is rising even if it's not doubling. I think you are going to be fine.
How do you draw your own HCG at home? I can't seem to find that info. God Bless and don't give up hope.
Thank you all for your input. I have been such a basket case since all of this started. I feel like I'm going crazy. I have not been bleeding or having any pains so I am praying for the best. I wish everyone good luck in all of your pregnancies and hope we all have good news to post. Oh, by the way, I work at a hospital and draw my labs there, not at home.
I just found this area by searching the web for low hcg. My last period started May 25th, my HCG levels are being considered low, first was June 28th 122, June 30th 179 and yesterday at 656. From what I'm reading, I'm increasing, no bleeding and severe pains. Just slight cramps last night.
What I can't find is, does the HCG level effect the actual development of the baby?
Had two previous miscarriges this past year, found out my progesterone was low, my LMP was may 25th, positive preg ( was taking Vitex for progesterone) test June 19th.....on july 1 hcg 146 prog 7.5. stopped taking Vitex, doc gave me prog shot, and prog suppositories 100mg 2x day, but i had 200mg nd i decided to take that 2x day instead.......started bleeding day after i stopped Vitex and the prog shot, bled for 2 days then spotted brown for 4. Stopped spotting but hcg was only 268 on July 6 and US showed Gestational sac......on july 9 hcg was only 282.......hcg on july 13 262. Doc has told me to stop pregesterone and let it pass......but i have heard of hcg rising slow and dropping only to rise again! what should i do?
If i keep taking the progesterone if it isn't a viable preg won't i miscarry anyway? i would just hate to stop if there is a chance.....has this happened to anyone?
Wish you best of luck ...
