Small Gestaional Sac

I had an ultrasound last week, at 7 weeks 3 days.  My gestational sac measures small at 5 weeks 2 days.  The baby measures a week behind at 6 weeks 3 days.  How normal is this?  Will I catch up?  We saw the heartbeat...  any help would be appreciated.

Seeing a heartbeat is ALWAYS a good sign. Your chances of a m/c are greatly reduced to about less than 5%.

I am 7wks today and have an U/S tomorrow. I will le tyou know what I find out about mine. I nt the meantime, how is your pregnancy going? I was really sick but the sickness is weakening which scares me and I am cramping alittle bit. I am staying positive though. Congrats on hearing the Heartbeat.

I had a very similar situation in October.  Saw the HB but the sac was measuring small.  Unfortunately I miscarried about a week later but I had been spotting all along.  I hope and pray you have a better outcome...my prayers are with you.

I had the same thing happen. I was 9 weeks, the baby measured 8 weeks and the sac measured 7 weeks. The sono tech thought I would miscarry. I had a sonogram at 13 weeks and everything measured perfectly at 13 weeks. My little girl turns 1 next week.

My doctor wasn't concerned at all and told me she sees that happen often.
