Snoring in a 16 month old??

How common is it for infants to snore??  Just curious because I find it so weird that my dd snores a lot (not every night but often).  She does not have a cold or anything, sleeps on her belly and is not even chubby anymore.  I know it is no big deal but I was just wondering since I have no other kids to compare her too!!

My son will snore very, very quietly but only when he has an actual stuffy nose.  (It's pretty cute, like a cat snoring or something.)  But if you can hear your daughter from further away than three feet or so, I would wonder if she has a mild allergy to dust mites or something like that. or if something else is causing her nasal passages to swell up a little.  Maybe ask her pedi next time you see him or her.

My last son snored it was because he wasn't getting enough air. He had a condition though. I wouldn't worry about it if as Annie said it's not real loud. You can call and ask the doctor if it concerns you. If she doesn't have any other problems like trouble eating I'd say it's nothing. Even with just a stuffy nose a baby will have trouble eating.

My youngest son snores, it's quite cute really. I did wonder if he might have apnea as my husband does but it isn't; it is just plain old regular snoring. He doesn't snore when he sleeps on his side but does if he is on his front or back.
