So much for snuggling sick babies!

by Rtarbox, Mar 03, 2008 10:38AM
I'm working on my fourteenth week of pregnancy right now, and this past weekend, my baby cousin was really sick when I babysat him. He wanted to snuggle, and I just couldn't say no... And now I'm sick. Is a dayquil type cold medicine okay to take? it's the store brand but it's just like dayquil. I got it when I was out but I've been too nervous to take it. I just moved so I don't have an OB here yet to be able to ask.

Many women I know have been sick during pregnancy.  The placenta is very good at keeping viruses and things away from the baby.  Like mami said, you can take Tylenol but nothing else.  Your baby should be fine.  Get plenty of fluids and rest.
