I am pregnant with my first child, only about a month. I just found out a few days ago. I am on two softball teams this summer, one is an Adult slow pitch team and the other is a fast pitch team. I haven't talked to a doctor yet but am planning on it. I was thinking about still playing but having a pinch runner and playing an outfield position so that my movement is minimal. There is also another girl on my slow pitch team who is pregnant, and due only about three weeks before myself. She said that she talked to her doctor and was told it was okay. I have been playing softball for many years and would hate to give it up. Any ideas?

My sister in law played softball for about the first 4mths she was pregnant and her doctor told her it was ok. She is very active. She had someone else run for her when she started to show good though. She just found out sh is pregnant again and is planning on playing ball this time as well. Me personally.... I don't think I would do it. I would be too paranoid that something would happen. But I do hear of girls that play pregnant around here all the time. Congrats on the pregnancy!!!!!
