Spotting during ovulation???

I have been off the pill for several months, a few months ago the dr. put me on Avandia for Type II diabetes. I started spotting then.  Now I have stopped that but still spot for a couple of days during the time I think I'm ovulating (I think it took a few months for my cycle to get back to normal after being on the pill for several years).  The spotting is brownish in color and goes along with a cervical mucus.  Because I am trying to get pregnant for the first time, hubby and I had intercourse last night.  It was not painful, but this morning I spotted more heavily than before and it was more red than the customary brown.  Later in the day, it has lessened considerably and is back to brown.  Have any of you had any similar experiences?  Is this something I should be worried about...ie cervical cancer, etc.?

when was your last menses? have  you been pregnant before? if you don't feel comfortable you should see your obgyn and explain all those symptoms, unless you think it is possible that you are pregnant - maybe wait to be late in your periods and take a good quality home test. How old are you?

I am 38, and never been pregnant before.  I had a normal menses a little over 2 weeks ago, my ovulation is right on schedule.  I am positive I am not pregnant.  I know spotting is sometimes normal during ovulation, I guess I am wondering "how much" is normal?

Hi there,
I would ask your doc. to test your FSH level, because you are 38 doesn't mean it's low but since you are almost 40 it might... so you will know where you are at. This blood test is done the day 3 and 5 if I am not mistaken of your menses. I am 47 and have been trying naturally at 40 did not work did IVF I did get pregn.

I know when im ovulating - its bang on time and i get cramp pains which lasts 2-3 days also i get a brownish/pinkish blood mark on my panties. Is this normal? I have been trying for a baby for 4 years could this be stopping me?

I was spotting during ovulation, well I started spotting on the first day of ovulation the 21st of September with slight cramping and then stopped yesterday the 24th of September. I had intercourse with my husband on the 20th and then last night. I am nervous. Even if you are spotting can you still get pregnanct during ovulation?
