Subchorionic/Implantation bleed

Subchorionic/Implantation bleed

Well, I found out what caused my bleeding 2 weeks ago last Sunday. On my ultrasound, they found an implantation bleed--otherwise known as a subchorionic bleed, on the placenta.

My Dr. says that in the vast majority of these cases, everything turns out just fine and the placenta re-attaches and there are no problems. So I am hanging on to that.

My bleed wasn't very bad at all---brick red/brown and only enough to need a panty liner, and it went away in just a couple hours.

Anyone have good stories about this type of thing? I DO NOT want to research it on the internet, because of reading the scary info along with the good. I can't take it anymore.

Esperanza/Hope--if you are reading this, tell me your story again if you don't mind.

My sister just delivered a little girl, and she had a subchorionic hemmorhage. It usually resolves itself by the 20 week u/s.  Yours sounds to be small, which improves your chances.  More ofter than not, the body will absorb the extra blood, and everything will be just fine.  It isn't uncommon.

YOU ARE BRILLIANT for staying away from the online research.  These sources can often be misleading and contradicting.  Good move.

That is weird...I did not actually post that first response.  It was someone else, but it put my name on it.  Must be another glitch with the new 'format'!

I had the same thing at the start of this pregnancy. I am now 37 weeks. Just take it easy. I was told no lifting , pushing or pulling. My bleed healed itself by the 12th week.

I had implantation bleeding too.  I bled fairly heavy off and on between my 5th and 6th week of pregnancy.  At first they couldn't tell me why I was bleeding because they couldn't see the subchronic bleeding on the ultrasound, but a week later the blood changes color interanlly and they could see where the bleeding was coming from.  They told me it was definitely implantation bleeding and everything should be ok since they saw a heartbeat.  The bleeding stopped and now I'm 15 weeks.  Try not to worry.  Lots of women have this type of bleeding.  My Dr. tried to tell me that my baby crash landed in my uterus.  It was a funny way to think about it.

I hope everything turns out well for you.  Good luck!  You're right not to research it on the internet.  I did and it scared me pretty bad.  I wasn't able to relax until my 12 week mark.

I had a subchorionic hemorrhage, bled heavily at times, passed a clot and spotted from week 5 to week 18, now at 23 weeks and assuming all is well. I'm going for u/s on Fri. so we will see how that goes! I know it's scary but just try to take it easy and not worry. You're in my prayers! Take care and please keep us updated on how you're doing!

I had a sub chorionic Hemmorrhage at 6 weeks 3 days.  I heard the heart beat at the ER and everything seemed normal.  Just this week when I went in to for my 2 month ultrasound they didn't locate a heart beat and the baby hadn't grown.  Unfortunately in my case the placenta never reattached and the clotting stayed in my uterus.  The baby was unable to get nourishment.  Still today the clotting has not come out and I am going in for a D&C.  Seems like most women who have this the baby is fine.

I am 6 weeks pregnant. I do not have any sort of spotting or bleeding. My doc conducted a transvaginal scan found minimal implantation bleed. I wonder what it means as I did not bleed at all but my scan showed some blood near my sac. Is there anything to wory. My doc has advised me bed rest for a week.

Please help
