Hello ladies! My DH and I are looking into doing IVF here in the near future. I just wanted to hear some of the success stories from those of you that have had this done. We have been ttc for a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys over 2 years now and nothing has happened. We've both been tested and we fall into the unknown category as to why we haven't conceived yet. I am just a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys nervous I guess because IVF still isn't 100% that you will have a baby. If you ladies could give me your stories, it would be great. Good luck to those of you ttc and congrats to those of you the have gotten your BFP's!
Thanks for your response. I hope this second go-round works for you. I hope it works for us, too. It's just kind of frustrating when they can't tell you why it's not happening! I am 27 and DH is 31, so I would really like to start a familyBirth control and family planning Choosing a primary care provider Ewing’s sarcoma Family troubles - resources soon. I've been to two different doctors and they have both kind of gone over with me what we'll have to do. I guess my biggest fearFears and phobias is getting shots! I will probably have some more questions for you as it gets closer for us and while we're going thru it. Maybe you could give me an email address and we could communicate that way? It's just nice to have someone else to talk to that is going through the same thing as you. If you don't mind me asking, how long were you ttc before you went with IVF? Thanks again!
Hey Buda1.... we have been TTC for 2+ years.... we did 7 rounds clomid/femara....we skipped the injectibles...just b/c I won't do selective reduction....so here we are... I am 30 and my DH is 33.... it has been a long two years.... The shots are not bad at all....one you get the hang of it, it is like brushing your teeth...it's all bout routine....you will get through it.... sure we can e-mail as the process gets closer....have you been tested for everything under the sun??? a lap, HSG, endo. biopsy, etc.... not fun, but you will get through it.... good luck and when are you meeting with the RE??? Jacquie
My best friend tried to conceive for around 3 years (she's now 38). They ended up trying IVF with a surrogate because her lining was really thin and she had other issues.
The first time it failed, but the second one took. The surrogate (also her sister in law) is around 20 weeks now!
She did opt for PGD both times. The first time, they only got 1 good egg out of 10. The second just 2! If I were investing in IVF I'd definitely go this route...
Got for it!!! Don't worry about the shots. You will get used to doing it and they are tiny needles. I got over my needle phobia very quickly. It is a big time commitment so be prepared for lots of trips to your Drs office. I became a science project!! Our 1st round resulted in 3 good embies, got pregnant but m/c early. Our 2nd round resulted in 5 good embies, transfered 3 got pregnant with twins. Lost a twin at about 8 wks but am 16 weeks with the other little peanut. Still have 2 frozen embryos. I am 38 and wished we had done this sooner. So if is just unexplained infertility and you're healthy, I say jump in with both feet!!! Good luck:):)
We were lucky to have low sperm count which is no problem when you do IVF wich ICSI, the successrate then for my age (then 31) was 50%. I did 2 fresh cycles, first time twins, second time singleton. The shots are really nothing, I had GD and fingersticks hurt a lot more! Every cycle feels different, hopefully you won't feel too much discomfort. Good luck!
Lots of luck to you!!!
