Swollen vs. just fat

Swollen vs. just fat

So last night was the night I had to finally take my wedding ring and band off. I can't tell if my hands are swollen or are just fat from the weight I've gained. I'm voting a bit swollen cause they keep going up and down.
I tried getting it off, no luck. DH tried getting it off, no luck. We tried with soap and water, no luck. Just as we were going to get the butter spray I decided to try one more time and finally got it off my huge finger.

I dont know how to tell if my fingers and hands are swollen or are just fat from the weight I've gained.... How can I tell? lol

I'm also going to vote in that they're probably just swollen.  The fact that they're going up and down in size says to me that it's not a "fat" issue.  When I was pregnant, I gained quite a bit of water weight and none of my rings fit me anymore.  In fact, even after giving birth to my daughter, my engagement/wedding rings were still too tight (I think they finally fit again after a few months).  Good luck!
