TAKING PROGESERONE

JUST HAD M/C  08/07 SO DOCTOR GAVE ME PROGESRONE SUPPOSITORIES INSTEAD OF PILL FORM WHEN SHOULD I START TAKING THEM. AND DOES THIS HELP BETTER WITH PREVENTING M/C OR DOES IT REALLY MATTER.

Hi I was just wondering if this was your first miscarriage and what made your doctor decide to give you progesterone? Were your periods normal and how long were you trying?

i have taken prog suppositories with 3 of my pregnancies and by the way the 3 i took them with have been successful, i am currently on my 6th preg and 17 weeks, i started taking them from the day i knew i was pregnant until 3 months and had to take 200mg twice daily.  it helps thicken the lining of the womb, i dont know if that is why 2 of my pregnancies failed (my 2nd and 3rd) my first baby was anencephaly, but i have had success since taking it, i also took/am taking junior aspirin the last 3 pregs until 34 weeks to help thin my blood, tests we had after losing the first 3 babies never showed any problems but i was willing to try anything!

I had 2 miscarriages and on the 3rd pregnancy my progestrone levels were low so they put me on suppositories.  Must've helped because I am now 32 weeks along with a healthy, VERY active baby boy!
