TTC and allergy

My DH and I have been TTC.  I now suffer from severe seasonal allergy.  I don't know if it's safe to take any antihistamine while TTC.  I heard it's ok to take benadryl during pregnancy but benadryl knocks me out.  What should I do?

as Dollchina said.. Zyrtec is safe.. also Claritin i believe and a nasal spray Rhinocort.  Rhinocort and Zyrtec are both precription but Claritin is not.  Make sure your OB or doctor is aware that you are taking medicine..

it is safe to use allergy meds while trying to conceive, but i would say to check with your dr firt too.  i have heard that taking allergy meds causes your cm to be less, making it less favorable for sperm.  i too have allergies and have just been toughing it out because i don't want to lessen my chances.  hope this helps.  baby dust*~*~*~*~*~*~

You should ask your doc  It's ok for me to take Zertac.
