TTC with Clomid...confused

I just finished my first round of clomid a short while ago. My lmp was 9/16 and I was on the clomid days 5-9. About 2 days ago I had very bad lower stomach pains, which I was told could possibly be ovulation pains due to the clomid? My question is, I have read all the other posts on clomid, and it seems that everybody is told to take them at different times. I have also read that the early you take it the better success you have. Did my doctor tell me wrong? And what are the odds of conceiving with clomid? I have had 2 mc and desperatly want to carry a baby to term. Any info on clomid use would be great. I did look it up on google, but I can only seem to find the textbook definitions. Sticky Baby Dust to All!!!

I am on my first cycle of Clomid.  My Dr. put me on it to rev-up my system.  I also had two m/c and I so want a baby, as well.  I know how you feel and I wish you all the luck in the world.  The cramps, I heard, is the ovulation triggered by the pill.  Dr. put me on cycle day 3-7 b/c of my cycle being regular, every 28 days. Are you regular?  Do you ovulate?  This is what determines the cylce days of Clomid.  As far as the Clomid, I have read great things about it.  The only down side I'm having is the headaches and hot flashes!

I had the same symptoms on clomid and after three rounds I got pregnant.  I don't believe the time you take it has anything to do with it.  My pharmacist told me to take it after dinner in the evening.  I got pregnant.  What I would advise though is to take it at the same time everyday.  I took it on days 3-7.  I think my doctor wanted me to do that so I could still give me uterus time to rebuild the lining as much as possible since clomid does have a tendency to thin the lining of your uterus.  I TTC with my hubby for two years.  My first pregancy was conceived on Femara and IUI.  I lost that pregnancy at 12 wks. I'm 13 wks now.  I'm scared I might be getting ready to lose this one too.  I'll pray for you if you pray for me.  Take care and don't get down.  It will happen. You've been pregnant before so you already know you can get there.  Good luck.

Oh, thank you for your replies!  I am somewhat regular every 29 or 32 days. Maybe that's not regular. I keep thinking I need a book called "Trying to Conceive for Dummies". I have 2 girls ages 5 and 8 so you would think I would know this stuff. I feel like such a scatter brain lately. Who knew that TTC would make me so nuts! I hope the clomid is the answer for me. I've had 2 mc, one in Feb 06 and the last one in June 06 which ended in a DNC. I'm pretty sure I ovulate since I got pg before, but, my doc wanted to try clomid becase my BBT didn't fluctuate at all for the last 2 months. Keeping my fingers crossed!  I will pray for all of you!

I am  starting on my first cycle of clomid--my DR. rec day 5-9. I have to complete my progesterone pills first to bring on a period, I guess I am not having regular cycles since I haven't had a period for 8 months. Hoping it works. Been TTC for 1 yr. Anyone had any other symptoms other than hot flashes and headaches?? When you read the insert of possible side effects its a little scary!

I'm on Clomid and 9 dpo. I took a hpt and got a negative. I think I took it too soon.  I have had terrible headaches the past 2 days and had none since before clomid. I feel like I'm analyzing every cramp every symptom. I have a a m/c before too and im feeling hopeless.

I did get the book "fertility for dummies" and its great. some real good info and none of that medical terminology that is sometimes confusing to an over hormonal gal looking for answers and ttc.

I have concieved twice on Clomid, and my Dr has me on it days 5-9 too.  I also notice that I get ovulation pains more with Clomid, but to me it is sort of reassuring in a way.  I hope everything works out for you. I also had 2 m/c before I started on Clomid.

have a question, I'm 9dpo and took a hpt (I know its early) and got a bfn. I couldn't help myself. But ..today I was at Target and I bent over to get a dvd and thought I was going to faint. I also thought the I was going to lose my lunch!..I took a couple deep breaths and it went away. I also feel very feverish..Could this be a symptom?
