Taking Amoxil for UTI

When i went to the ER they told me i had a UTI so he prescribed me pills Amoxil to take to get rid of it my step mother told me to eat yogurt and that should help not get a yeast infection.  But lately I've been real dry but i still have discharge and i'm itchy to it doesnt burn to pee just feels itchy and dry when i wipe  but i'm still having discharge so is it possible that i could have a yeast infection anyways? and how do they treat it while you are pregnant? Right now i dont have any insurance i'm waiting on Healthwave to send me papers for approvement so until then i can't get into my doctor

I get many yeast infections with this pregnancy.  My OB instructed me to use Monistat 3, which I did and which cured the yeast infection.  you can pick up a generic form of it at your local Walmart for a couple bucks.

Eating yogurt is supposed to replenish some of the good bacteria that the antibiotics inadvertantly kill while attacking the bad bacteria.  That doesnt always work, in fact, more often than not for me it doesnt, but it certainly is worth a try in the future.  

Get yourself some generic Monistat.  In my case, the first day I used it, it burned when I put it on.  I dont know if it was killing the yeast and thats waht I felt, but just keep that in mind in case you get the same effect.  Id put it on at night right before you go to bed.
