Target +/- "same as ept" HPT--- false +?

Target +/- "same as ept" HPT--- false +?

Super-confused about Target brand +/-  hpt.  Took one 2 nights ago, very light, skinny line (compared to the perpendicular part of the plus).  Assumed +.  Then the next AM took another, expecting same or more, but it was neg.  That night took another (same test) and it was the same as the 1st night... little bit darker, but skinny line.  Both times + the lines developed within 2 minutes and were both blue.  Then this AM took one more, and it was again neg.  Went to Drs today, urine test was neg (but realize they are almost exactly like the $ Tree ones, which never worked for me, even if i was pregnant).  Waiting unitl tomorrow for results for blood serum test. All this stress over the not knowing is taking a toll on my milk :(
Has anyone else had problems with the same Target test, and were they false positives??  In reality I'm only 8 dpo (my last pregnancies showed up 6 & 8 dpo), but I feel the exact way I did a year ago with my 2nd, but I'm also "still kind of pregnant" from nursing.  Also, we weren't trying... I have a 3 month old, and used OPK to make sure it was the weekend I was due to O TO AVOID DTD, but O'd 5 days prior (turned pos Tues midnight) and already DTD 2X --- Monday and Tuesday evening--- oops.  However, now I'm kind of psyched at the thought of 2 so close, and feel very upset that I may be getting false positives... I know I need to wait (blood results tomorrow, still only 8 dpo) but just wondered if anyone saw that SKINNY line on a Target +/- test and got a BFP?

The blue dye tests are not as reliable. Hopefully you get a better answer with your blood test. Keep us posted!

I have to agree with jenshim, After having my son I took a Target brand test ( 3 monthspostpartum) and kept getting fain light blue +. Took a First Response and it was negative! I would reccomend gettingaa First Response or a Digital test! That should clairfy your result

i have always gotten that line on a blue dye test (yep, the target brands), which is not to mean you couldn't be pregnant, just that i would not depend on that test for an answer.  you need to get a bfp on a pink line test before getting excited, and of course, a blood test will give you the answer.

The reason I used the Target +/- is b/c that showed up with my 2nd I think 7 dpo!  I figured that was a great test... did not know blue dye tests are unreliable.  Thanks for the insight!
I got a negative on the bloodwork.  Kind of sad, but not sure about the whole Irish Twins thing!!  However, maximum I'm 9 dpo, min 7ish... guess there's a chance I could end up pregnant.  Would 6-8 dpo be a very early time for HcG to appear in bloodwork?  Should I not get my hopes down??
