My daughter has been teething since 3 or 4months however she hasnt gotten any teeth yet which is normal. She's 6 months now. The drooling means shes teething... Not eating as much could just mean her growing is slowing down for a bit.

its probably teething. edward began teething signs around 3 months as well, although i didn't see his first tooth until around 7 months. he was always sucking on his hand or anything else he could get his mouth on and drooling buckets! i used a combo of orajel and tylenol when it was really bad. the tylenol i only used when he felt warm or was exceptionally cranky and not sleeping well. the orajel helped a lot for us by itself and in conjunction with the tylenol. i used the type orajel that comes in like a q-tip swab applicator, which was much easier. some people also highly reccomend teething tablets such as hylands. they work wonders for some. good luck.

My son is 3 months and has been having the same symptoms. We just noticed that he actually has two teeth breaking skin and he seems a little more comfortable now.  It seems that the first two teeth are the toughest.  I've been using homeopathic teething tablets and they work wonders for pain and fussiness. good luck!

My son was very cranky and drooling and sucking his hand like a mad man.  He's 4 months and his two bottom teeth just broke through.  I use Hyland's tablets or Humphrey's, I believe they are the same.  I use tylenol when he's extremely cranky and warm.  He sleeps really well with both.  It sounds like I'm drugging him but sometimes he's unbearable.  Good luck.

I just came on to ask the same question - both twins are drooling uncontrollably - I swear they are rabid (working in animal control, that had to be the first thing that came to my mind) - hee hee!!  Where can you buy those hyland's tablets?  One of them hardly wants to eat and they are both sooo irritable.  It's becoming unbearable.  I've tried the tylenol, but it doesn't seem to be working as good as I thought.

how do the tablets work - do you put them in water?  I'm kinda nervous giving an infant a tablet

Yes, he stopped really wanting to eat.  Remember I had posted about my son not eating well, that was the reason because he was teething.

Kelly Texas - you have to combine both the hylands and the tylenol to really get them to relax.  Just one or the other doesn't work for my some, it has to be both.  We got the hylands at Rite Aid or any drug store.

Good luck, teething is the worst.  My son is still knawing away at things.  I put his pacifier in the refrigerator to get it cold, then I give it to him.  He's not fond of the teethers.
