Teething?

by adrianas_mama, Sep 27, 2006 12:00AM
Hi ladies....I was just wondering if anyone has any idea when kids stop teething? I only have one, so no experience to help me out! My child is a holy terror right now, she is getting around 6 teeth popping through at once! I don't know how to console her, and she drools nonstop! She is almost 16 months old and it just seems likes shes hitting her terrible twos early or something! And I also wanted to say I read these messages every day and I am so happy for all who are pregnant and hopeful for all those trying to concieve! I don't comment much because I'm neither pregnant or trying, but I am praying for all! Also...if anyone is like me and likes showing off their beautiful baby (s) ...is there a site where you all post pics ir anything? Just curious! Thanks

This link shows which teeth come through at what ages. Some children get better relief from Children's Motrin than from Tylenol. You may have to call her Dr. for the dose though. Also, whole pickles, frozen bagels, and an ice cube wrapped in a washcloth all are great to soothe an older baby.

Could be teething but my babies always start their terrible twos at around 18 months so it could be starting that too.

some children have no problem with there teeth coming in, but mine was the opposite,  Every single tooth that came in changed her personality. She was also a late bloomer in teeth, it seemed like she would never get them all in, but she did, and the time will pass and you and she will forget.  Try to freeze a wet cloth and give it to her, tetthing rings, orajel,(although that did nothing for my child) tylenol helped when it was at its worst.  I dont envy what you are going through at all.   Good luck

I forgot to add that I gave my daughter adult orajel. She hated the taste of the baby stuff, and it hardly worked for her.
