Testing using a different brand????

Ok, so a little bit of info on me...I am 14dpo and af is due thursday or friday.  I have been cramping a little and not feeling so great at times in the morning. I don't want to ginx myself at all..lol!  I sent DH to the store to get a test and he came back with the Publix brand. Normally that would be fine, but since I am not late yet I really wanted him to get the one where you can test 5 days sooner, b/c it worked with DD.  So I went ahead and took the test, b/c I didn't want to take it back...that would be retarted I guess..haha. And the test can out invalid...it didn't even work. And I know I didn't do it wrong, b/c I have done so many that I feel like an expert at times!  I want to go get the right one, but don't know if I should waste the money or not.  B/c on the box of the Publix brand it said that you could use it one day before your missed period and thereafter, but its like I don't want to wait!!!  Anyone else use a different brand and get a result early????

I used First Response early result, the wal-mart brand equate (which also gives early results), and a couple that I had purchased off of ebay, and I got my light BFP with all of them at 9DPO (can you tell I was a pee-on-a-stick aholic!). Best wishes!

When I was first pregnant I tested twice with a E.P.T and they came up negative. I waited a few days and tested with the best brand that looked for the lowest HCG and I tested positive twice. I just knew I was pregnant. Here's the site I used to guide me to the best pregnancy tests.

OK, so first let me say that you must be in the south somewhere.  You said you got a Publix test.  "Publix, Where shopping is a pleasure!"  I lived in ATL and really miss my Publix.  ok im done now,  I used mostly off brands, but switched with the regular one and the digital.  Although the digital isnt usually that great for testing early.  I started testing 2 weeks before my period was suppose to come (since we were trying to get preg) and they all, except the third (which was digital) were positive.  But the 4th (digital also) i took the next morning (first morning urine) and it was positive.  If you want the best results, do it first thing in the morning.  But dont be like me and spend like $100 on tests.  I even stopped on my way to the doctors office where he was going to do a blood test, to do one last test. I was a little skeptical. Good luck!

Well, I went and got the first response which came with three tests.  I tested and it was negative, no doubt about it.  I am just going to wait and see if af comes or not.  I was a little upset about it being negative,but I am not giving up hope!  There is always next month, but I thought for sure I was preggo:)
So now I have three tests just waiting for me to get preggo so I can use them all!!

I tested negative on my pregnacy tests even with the early result test until my period was 1 day late. Best Wishes to you.
