The baby likes to play with the cat's toys

What is the goofiest thing your child likes to play with?  My son loves my cat's catnip mice, to the exclusion of his own toys.  (Of course, he also loves the box the toy comes in more than the toy, too.)  He's crawled over by the cat post now, and is tossing the little mouse in the air.

My kids always seemed to prefer the boxes rather than the present inside! They'd take the present out and sit in the box and play pretend it was a car, or an airplane. The really big boxes were great. My daughter would put them all together along with blankets and make a house, complete with drawing pictures on the box to look like a house. I always told my husband "Why don't we just give a box to them for Christmas? That's their favorite toy!"

All of my boys loved boxes and plastic soda bottles. CJ's favorite thing is paper, any kind! Of course he loved our dog licking his face to the point he will follow Eleu around with his mouth open to get him to lick him. If he had been my first (we are all different mom's with our first) I would have been mortified!!

Sam loves crawling through the TV stand over and over again even though he gets stuck down the side of it every time, oh and rolling himself up in the door mat!
James is obsessed with his fathers car magazines and opening and shutting the cupboard doors!

my baby's too small to play yet... but my problem is that my cats like to play with baby's toys!!!

my sister is 13 years younger than me, so i remember many of her weird playthings. at home her favorite was a fake rat (cat toy). she would nap with it and pet it's smooth fur. at the beach when she was 2 she LOVED jellyfish (the kind that don't sting). she would curl up with them and nap on the beach.

Can the catnip be dangerous to him? Never thought twice about it, but my dd was the same way with our cats' toys when she was little...its kinda funny and cute actually =)

my son has always crawled right to the dog/cat toy basket at both my house and my mom's house. he has tried to put the dogs ball in his mouth more than once and i caught him with his hand in the dog's food bowl the other day looking to see what dog food tastes like. he is 9 months and into everything. he kept himself busy on the floor the other night with a red plastic cup and his pasifir  e (putting it in...taking it out...repeat) and last night he entertained himself until bathtime with an empty laundry basket. who needs toys? go figure. haha.

I remember thos days!! Now if i dont have the right movie or book or playing a game with her constantly, than shes all over me! You should try the pots and pans and big spoons....they love that at that age!!

yea. he is everywhere. i put him down, turn around for one second, and he's gone! thats a good idea tho. i gave him plastic measuring cups at his highchair the other day and he loved them! doesn't take much does it?

CJ has access to the kitchen (open concept house) and he loves pots and pans and cookie sheets! It can get quite loud here especially when the other two join the "band" : )

Augie is into large spoons and plastic mixing bowls, big-time.  He sat and put one plastic bowl into another for an extremely long time last night.  At 9 months, something being bigger and something else being smaller is apparently a hot concept.  :)
