Hey ladies!!! how is everyone doing??? I hope you had a nice weekend, because mine was a little extended to monday!! lol
I took my parents to Philadelphia and it was a BLAST!! they are leaving tomorrow at night....and i just took off work all of a sudden to be with them and i am glad i did! =)

Well, all this TTC is just too CONFUSING!!! gooooosh!
I've been testing with OPK's and friday got my positive. It was very dark, then, i kept testing...saturday was even darker and sunday was as friday (I know Di, you told me to stop...) but i couldn't help but to test again yesterday and it was dark again!!!! it's 4 days now in a row (maybe 5 if today i test again...) and it's been dark as my concience!!! lol
Also, i've been getting HORRIBLE, i mean HORRIBLE acne!!!! it's been so bad that i now look like one of those in the pro-active comercials!!! i've picked on some and i am scarred!!! (i know i shouldnt!!!) i put loads of benzoyl peroxide but it doesn't help much!!! (before it used to) and also i've been getting new ones everyday!!! (red, big painful ones....sorry tmi!)
What can i do?? go to the dermatologist?? I am ttc!!! i can't just smear in my face whatever thing i find out there! =((

No, i am not taking anything....=( which is why i wonder what could it be....ever since i m/c'ed i got this bad and it gets a little better...and then bad again....=((
I wonder if i can take antibiotics (i have some left overs from previous infections or bad colds...), or topic cortisone cream?, maybe even neosporin??? i know it might help...im just not sure if it's safe if i am like 1 or 2 dpo....

i would suggest you go to the dermatologist - you never know what's in some of those creams and don't take antibiotics on your own. i have a mild case of rosacea and i use a cream that was prescribed by dr. and it does have some steroid in it, but i was told it's ok to use during pg. don't decide for yourself it's not worth it. as for the scarring use vitamin e oil. i use it all the time - it's really good. before i knew i had rosacea i'd pick at it and break the skin, it would bleed, scab, pick at it....vicious cycle, but i always used vitamin e and still do. i've used it in the past on bad cuts...and it works. you can either get it in the capsule form and stick a needle in and squeeze out oil, but it also comes in oil form already bottled for you - much easier and less messy. hope your 2WW goes by fast and you get a real positive answer!!

Did you say you used vitamin E oil for scars already there or for fresh ones in the making?  I have a few acne scars I wouldn't mind getting rid of and I won't go to the derm because I don't want hydroquinine stuff.  I hear horror stories about it.

No clue on your acne problem.  You can go to the dermetologist and her him know that you re TTC.

I will keep my fingers off my face...will call the doc for a prescription or something....i read in the dermatologist forum that clindamycin is safe during pregnancy....hmmm...will see.
As for the OPK....do you know what's going on?? have you had any experience like that??? 4 days in a row!!! dark dark positives.......?!?

i mainly used it on fresh scars or scars in the making, but it can't hurt to try it on old scars. i'm not sure though that it will have the same effect. i don't know anything about the hydro1uinine stuff.

HA HA HA HA!  I was reading your post and thinking....jeez, I told her they said to stop testing after you get your first +.  Must be that feisty latin blood of yours. LOL or you are like the rest of us and if there are sticks in your house to pee on, then by gosh we WILL pee on them =)  Yes, I did it too.  Well, kinda.  I got my + opk on Sunday morning and I actually held out until today and it was -.  Soooo, i assume I must have O'd yesterday, if I did O at all.  Looks like we are in the tww again.  Gotta keep busy.  Actually, I will be.  I'm planning my dd's 4th b-day party, which is turning into a big deal.  I felt obligated to invite all of her preschool class (15 kids) plus a few friends from the neighborhood.  I figured maybe half of the kids invited would actually attend.  Well, they are all coming, plus parents and this doesn't even include family.  I had to change plans and have it at my mil's house b/c if it rains, my house is NOT big enough to contain all those people.  Imagine, 20 three and four y/o kids running amok.  It may be enough to make me rethink ttc.  LOL. I'm just kidding.  I just hope I bd at all the right times.  

as far as your acne goes, I agree you should see a dermo,  let them know you're ttc I'm sure they'll be better able to help.  Benzoil peroxide doesn't work for me either.  I use Aveeno blemish cream, but now that I think of it, it does have sacylic acid (I know I spelled that wrong)  Have a great day xoxox  Di

OMG!!! 15 kids running around??? holy! i get enough when my niece and 2 nephews visit!!! i go nuts! (mainly because my house is not child proof and their mother does not watch them...). I know what you say about the doubt! lol...for the longest time we told her (my sil) that she and her kids were the best birth control me and dh had!!! lol...i know i ate my words....=$ that's what happens when i open my mouth too much....
So you and i are about the same dpo....if i got my + friday...i should have O'ed around saturday.....which i would be at 3 dpo?? maybe not, maybe i am O'ing today...who knows!!
like i said before, i will wait and wait and wait, and if i get my BFP, then i will wait to see my doc till i am like 8 weeks so for sure i will get a 'yes it's viable' or 'no, you are m/c'ing'....that way i don't become godzilla again with all this figuring out if my baby is alright or not, if it's too early to tell or not....ARGH!!!

the climindacyne (sp?) is one of the things in my cream - it has something else too - but don't remember what it's called - but i was told not to worry about it during pg. in the meantime though i just don't use it twice a day like i'm supposed to cuz i don't want so much steroids in me anyway.
about the opks - i'm not really good at those things. i've only used it a few times and the last time i tried was the month before ivf and i probably did it wrong - i couldn't figure out when the surge was b/c was getting line, and then darker, and darker, and then i just stopped. it didn't work either way for me cuz had to do the ivf. good luck though.

I highly recommend Proactiv for new acne, as well as for acne scars.  It's perfectly safe to use while TTC and even while pg (I recently called the Pregnancy Environmental Hotline).  I've been using it since February, and it's been amazing for me.  I break out a lot less, the acne goes away much more quickly, and the old acne scars have completely faded after several months of using it.  And my skin doesn't get used to it and stop responding, like it has in the past with other acne treatments.  I've been on antibiotics and vaious prescription lotions, etc., and none of that stuff helped until I started using the Proactiv.

I never believed the commercials before either.  Then a good friend of mine started using it and said it really works.  So I decided to try it.  At that point, I felt like I might as well - I've tried everything else for several years.  And I just love it.  It's a 3 step system (cleanser, toner, and lotion).  Their cleanser is awesome.  It has really small exfoliating beads in it, which is great because people who tend to break out need to exfoliate as much as possible, so that oil and dirt doesn't get trapped in the pores.  I use the whole thing morning and evening, and I started noticing results after about a week.  The results got better the longer I used it.  Also, for me personally their lotion doesn't have enough moisturizer.  So, I use an Alba Botanicals oil free organic moisturizer on top of it, and that works out perfectly (http://www.albabotanica.com/?id=55&pid=329).  Good luck, and I hope this helps.

Hey Nessa! Sorry to hear about your face breaking out!

I'll tell ya, before my wedding, I bought something called AcneFree from Wal-Mart. It's around $18 and works as well as ProActiv.  Also, if Benzoyl Peroxide is your concern, there is also another "kit" you can buy at Wal-Mart that uses Salicylic Acid instead of BP. It has papaya in it, too. The actual cleanser is a little on the runny side, but the whole set really works. I think it's around the same price as the other stuff. You're supposed to use the products in the morning and at night, but if you tend to get dry or irritated from it, use it at night only for a while. And don't use soap on your face in the morning, as it tends to strip your face of its natural oils (in other words ALL moisture is stripped). So they say to simply use a wet washcloth or just splash water on your face in the morning, then gently pat dry to help keep some of the oils that built up overnight.

do you know what the average time it says you are supposed to O from the time you get a +.  Is it 24 - 48 hours????   Like I said, I got a + on Sunday morning.  I woke up last night at like 3;30 or 4 am to go potty.  When I stood up, I had some cramping that lasted for maybe about 10-15 minutes.  Do you think that was it???  Me and dh been bd'ing like bunnies.  I know they say do the every other day thing, but I'm so afraid I might miss it.  We bd thur., fri, sat, sun and last night.  Should we keep it up?  With the - opk this morning, it's probably pointless now huh?

I would keep bd'ing until you get a dry up of CM and 3 days of high temps, if you are charting. I have heard of that happening to a lot of women (the mul. + OPK's) G/L!

Well, I haven't been using the Salicylic kind recently...I bought more of the AcneFree last time, because I like it better than the papaya stuff. I didn't know about not using salicylic acid stuff while preggers, though. Wow, out of ALL the books and online stuff I've read, I never once saw that! So thanks for the heads up either way. My acne has cleared a lot the last week or two (knock on wood), so I really don't even use the AcneFree unless I start breaking out real bad.

Vanessa:  Hey girl!  You are way more popular than me...only emcy responded to my post down there :( ...lol.  Just wanted to say hi!  Still no AF here.  I had AF cramps this morning but now...NOTHING.  I've also had a terrible headache since last night.  That must be from hormones (either AF or preg, who knows).  I'm not going to test until Fri or Sat though.  I just can't take the disappointment.  I just don't think I am preg!

Sorry about your face.  I hate that!  I hardly ever break out so when I do it is very traumatic.  I'm sure when we get preg it will only get worse though (with my first preg I had already started getting on my right inner cheak).

For a couple of months after I had my miscarrage (miscarriage) I had awful acne and they were big, red, sore mountians!  My Dr. told me it was due to my hormones being out of wack.  Maybe check on that?

Di:  She is twenty weeks preg and just started bleeding from her nipples and A LOT of blood!  They're going to do an u/s on her breasts Monday.
