To Mommies of Little Girls

by cantwait4baby, Jan 29, 2008 12:03PM
Hi I know this is a pregnancy forum but I like it too much to leave and love the adivce from women on here so I just wanted to ask if anyone has a suggestion for where to get good baby girl dresses?  I want my little one to have a great Easter dress and looking online I am not having much luck.  Word of caution DO NOT ever order from "The Perfect Pear" they really did a number on me with her Christening Dress and I actually received an email response that had curse words in it from them.  They caused me to loose $150 plus no dress.

Anyway, Just thought I would ask if anyone has a favorite.

Thanks.

Seriously, I always got my girlst their Easter dresses at JC PENNY, Sears or an outlet store. I dont like spending a lot of money ...lol  But at the same time they were always good quality.  I have no problem with you asking that question here.  I've seen some doozies before, believe me...lol  Good Luck!!!

JC Penney's or Macy's have really good dresses.

dh and i don't really like the big and fancy dresses...  we do them sweet and simple!  we haven't really looked for any yet but i saw some really cute ones at target!  we like the sundresses...  until a couple months ago i had lived at the beach my whole life so that style kinda carried over to our girls!

by cantwait4baby, Jan 29, 2008 12:23PM
I would love to live at the beach...  :)  One issue I am having is that Easter is in March and it will be cold.  JC Penny does have nice ones but not online I guess I just have to get my butt out there to look.  That is where I got her Christmas dress and it was nice and only about $30.    I was kinda thinking of something with a hat since she has this crazy hair going on.

I also like JCpenney. Avery's Christmas dress (the one she has on in the pic posted here) was from JCPenney. Do you have a Bon-Ton department store? We have them here in Lancaster and they have nice dresses. I have never heard of the Perfect Pear, they sound like lovely people. :(

last year i think we got ours from jcp, this year i got one at walmart because it had polka dots and i love them! its super cute and only cost like 20 bucks. She only wears it one day anyway im not going to spend hundreds on dollars.

I love that dress Avery has on in that pic.  We dont have one of those stores.  I wish it was going to be warm out so I could put her in something sleeveless.  Oh well.  :)  Perfect Pear horrible business.

Hey chicky.. Sorry for not getting back to your other post. I'm having a tough day.

If I were looking for a Ester dress for Soraya, which I probably should start doing, I would probably go to Macy's.  It's harder for me because, there aren't a lot of stores in Manhattan like there our in other boroughs/states.
Like if I want to go to Kohls, I have to either take a train and a bus to brooklyn or a long train ride to NJ. Or the same deal with Target.  This is why I do alot of online shopping. :)

I would suggest Gymboree..they always have cute little girls dress's. I also Love CArters, and TJ Maxx is another store I frequent for deals on my dd's clothing. I also love Babies-R-us, I can find a lot of matching outfits for my girls, as they have a nice range of sizes from 0-48 mo. We have great outlet shopping where I live, so I rarely have have to buy clothing online, so I am no help if you are looking for a great place online. I agree though w/ others, no need to pay so much for something they will only where once or twice and then outgrow. I would much rather find a cute less expensive dress, and spend the money on having pictures done in them, that way you have those memories forever. :)

Oh Yes! KOHLS and WALMART are definitely places to look too!!!

Hey Woman!!!  I just wanted to tell you, I have always gotten Abby's special dresses at Kohls and have never been disappointed in any of them.

I'm back in the Philly area....very excited.  Hope all is well with you and your little Eva....she is beautiful.

Strange but when I moved back here...first thing I thought of was all my Philly girls.  I know it seems odd....but I would love to meet all.  Especially you...you have been one of my many rocks over the past 2 years.

Anyway - I don't have any fancy internet site...to talk offline but we'll do our best here.

Guess what - I already want another one!  After the hell I went through....LOL
