To Surprisebaby re: juice

Hey! I just read your post from several days ago regarding introducing baby juice. A baby that I nannied for was very hungry and very fussy and the doctor recommeded giving him just 2 oz. of Pedialyte between bottles (or feedings, since he was nursed too) if he was fussy. The pediatrician said that the pedialyte (or any pediatric electrolyte solution) is perfectly healthy for baby as long as it's not used for a MAIN source of nutrition. However he did suggest waiting until around 5-6 months for fruit juices since kids can easily develop allergies to fruits. Hope this helps...sorry for the late reply!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to post.  I really do appreciate it.  That's a great idea about the pedialite.  I am going to see my doctor next week, so I will ask him about that.  Thanks again,
